Refund Policy

This Refund Policy explains how refunds work for paid subscriptions to Biller.ca ("Biller", "we", "us", or "our"). It forms part of, and is subject to, our Terms of Service, and capitalized terms have the meaning given there. If this policy differs from the Terms, the Terms govern.

1. Free and Paid Plans

Biller's Free plan costs nothing, so there is nothing to refund. Pro is a paid annual subscription, and the rest of this policy applies to it.

2. Pro-Rata Refunds if You Are Dissatisfied

If you are dissatisfied with the Service, you may cancel and request a refund of the unused portion of your current subscription term, calculated on a pro-rata basis from the date we receive your request. Once a pro-rata refund is issued, your access to paid features ends. A pro-rata refund is your sole and exclusive remedy for any dissatisfaction with, or problem arising from, the Service, as set out in our Terms of Service.

3. Free Trials

If your Pro subscription includes a free trial, you will not be charged if you cancel before the trial ends, and no refund is necessary because no payment is taken during the trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription begins and this policy applies.

4. How to Request a Refund

Email support@biller.ca from the email address associated with your account. We may ask you to verify ownership of the account before processing a refund.

5. How Refunds Are Issued

Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method through Stripe and include any applicable taxes on a pro-rata basis where required. We use reasonable efforts to process approved refunds within a reasonable time. Processing may take longer during periods when key personnel — including our founder — are unavailable, such as during holidays, leave, or vacation.

6. Discretionary Refunds

Any refund beyond the pro-rata amount described above is provided at our sole discretion, is considered on a case-by-case basis, and is not an admission of liability or a waiver of these terms. Granting one refund does not obligate us to grant another.

7. Chargebacks and Abuse

Please request a refund from us before disputing a charge with your bank or card issuer. We reserve the right to decline or reverse refunds we reasonably believe are sought in bad faith or to abuse this policy, and to suspend or terminate accounts associated with fraudulent chargebacks.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time at our discretion. When we do, we will post the updated policy on this page and revise the "Last updated" date. You are responsible for reviewing this policy and our other legal pages periodically for updates.
