Running more than one business

If you walk dogs on weekdays and tutor on weekends, you don't need two accounts. One Biller login can run several businesses, each with its own clients, schedule, invoices, and payments.

Why separate businesses

Each business has a type, such as dog walking or tutoring. The type sets the wording Biller uses (a dog walker sees walks where a tutor sees sessions), the custom fields on clients, and the starter services. Keeping each line of work in its own business means its clients, invoices, and income never get mixed up, and its reports stand on their own.

Adding a business

  1. Click your business name at the top of the sidebar, then Add or manage businesses
  2. Click Add a business
  3. Choose what kind of business it is
  4. Enter a Business name. This is the name your clients see on booking pages and invoices.
  5. Click Create business

Biller creates the business with starter services for its type, and switches you into it.

The business type can't be changed
Once a business is created, its type is permanent. If you picked the wrong one, create another business with the right type.

Switching businesses

Click your business name at the top of the sidebar and choose another business from Your businesses. You can also go to the Businesses page and click Switch.

Everything you see, from Home to Reports and Settings, is for the business you're currently in.

What's separate

Each business has its own:

  • Clients, schedule, quotes, invoices, and payments
  • Services, packages, and booking page
  • e-Transfer forwarding address, shown for each business on the Businesses page
  • Settings, including business name, seller details and GST/HST (Settings > Invoicing & tax), invoice automation, and payment reminders
  • Stripe connection for card payments
  • Reports

What's shared

Your login and account settings (profile, password, two-factor authentication, notifications) are shared by all your businesses.

So is your plan. Pro is attached to your login, so one subscription covers every business you own. On the Free plan, the 3-invoice monthly limit is shared across all your businesses too. See Plans and billing.
