Your services

Services are the things you sell, like a 30-minute walk, a one-hour lesson, or a driveway plow. Each one has a price, so completed jobs know what to charge.

What services do

You'll find your services under Services in the sidebar. They're used in several places:

Your booking page: clients pick from your active services (names only, no prices)
Jobs: when a job is completed, it adds one line to unbilled work at the service's price
Quotes and routes: you pick a service for each
Packages and contracts: a service can limit what a package or contract covers
Job reports: the service's checklist fills in the report checklist

Starter services

When you create a business, Biller adds starter services for the industry you pick. You can change or remove any of them.

Dog walking & pet sitting: 30-minute walk ($22), 60-minute walk ($34), Puppy drop-in visit ($20), Overnight pet sitting ($85). You also get a starter package: a 10-walk pack for $200.
Tutoring & lessons: 1-hour tutoring session ($50), 30-minute session ($30), Exam prep package ($200), Group session (per student) ($25). You also get a starter package: a 10-lesson pack for $450.
House cleaning: Standard clean ($140), Deep clean ($260), Move-out clean ($320), Office clean ($110). The standard and deep cleans come with report checklists.
Lawn care & snow removal: Driveway plow ($45), Salting ($25), Lawn mowing ($50), Spring yard cleanup ($180), Hedge trimming ($90)
General service business: no starter services. Add your own.

Adding a service

Open Services and click Add service
Enter a Name and Price
Choose what the price is Per: Visit, Hour, Job, or Each
Optionally set a Typical duration in minutes or hours. Repeating jobs use it to set an end time.
Optionally add a Description
Optionally add a report checklist, one item per line. It fills in the checklist on every job report for this service.
Leave Active ticked, then click Add service

In a hurry? When you're scheduling a job or creating a quote, click + New service under the service dropdown to add one with just a name, price, and unit.

To change a service, click Edit next to it (on a computer, hover over the row to see it). Price changes apply to jobs completed from then on.

Each job bills one unit

A completed job always adds one line at the service's price, whatever you chose under Per. For a service priced per hour, a two-hour job still bills one hour. Check the amount on the invoice before you send it, or create a separate service for longer jobs.

Hiding or removing a service

Untick Active to hide a service from your booking page and from the job and quote forms, while keeping it on your Services list
Remove takes it off your list. Past jobs and invoices that used it don't change.
